We moved from London to Sawbridgeworth three years ago and we love our local Budgens and would much rather use your store than Tesco etc, I have also heard other people say the same thing when walking round. I really like the fact that you have excellent promotions but also a variety of high end luxury items (or treats!) and I often buy items from the island fridge which has the lovely ham and pies and the island fridge is nicely presented

You are my nearest store and I make purchases every couple of days. Congratulations on the many improvements you have made since taking it over. Please can we have less plastic wrapping! Where have all the 'naked' cucumbers, bunches of spring onions, brussel sprouts and other veg and fruit gone to? We like to recycle but plastic is dreadful stuff so perhaps you could set a trend in the area by leaving it all off whenever possible? It seems to be on just about everything now and it must be a lot cheaper for both you and us just to have veg in a box or bunches. The little plastic bags could also be replaced with cheap, recycled paper ones

For a small store I find it very well stocked, in saying that I don't understand why you stock stings for cars as you have a service station next door to you

What an excellent store you are creating. It is such a pleasure to find a local store so strongly promoting local produce. I was particularly impressed with your Saffron brewery beers - including your own Sawbridgeworth ale which is very good. Now let's try getting some more local cheeses. Wishing you continued success - your model is great.

I love the range of food that you now have. It makes for interesting shopping. A lot of the stuff has too many added ingredients for me (Miss Fussy) but your support of the local suppliers is brilliant. Well done! Keep it up!

I think your store is an excellent example of a great local shop, the staff are friendly and always helpful and cheerful(notsomething you see in the big supermarkets..) I t would be nice to see a more updated website, half the staff seem to have left that you feature on here. If you promote people bringing their own bags more too, that would be excellent.

I still have not quite grasped the fact that I went to a 'supermarket' and had such a great experience. I was visiting the town for another shop and called in purely by accident, having found nowhere else to park and discovered the (free!) car park at the store. While I was passing decided to call in for one item. Was totally amazed to see Bridget Bs meat on sale (which I usually buy in farm shops), then realised that there was in fact a whole range of local and regional produce on sale - well done!! Ended up buying lots! While walking around noticed a member of staff being v helpful to another customer. Also when paying, staff were helping an elderly customer. All in all a most pleasant experience, just wish I lived nearer.

We have always been impressed with your special offers. Especially your Wine offers have always been very good. There have been a few occasions where you have not had Wine offers and on these occasions we have purchased from Whittals. We feel that you should be aware that your offers are taken seriously and these ensure we shop at Budgens - not simply for the offers - but other items as well.

Since moving into Sawston in 2006 we have appreciated more and more the convenience of Budgens and in particular the long opening hours. We are happy with the prices and as such, we almost never go to any other supermarket (just occasionally when a special product or particular brand is required).
It is a great luxury to know we never have to worry about 'what's in the fridge' at home, because we can always get good, fresh products to make a meal from scratch seven days a week (with only Sunday afternoons requiring a modicum of planning).

We have seen a real improvement since you took over Budgens, It was providing much more than what we would call convenience shopping and were doing more of our main shop becuse of that.

I live near Sawston and work in London and once a year i telephone the store to order a case of Duchy Water for a summer event i organise. I am always looked after by the same Assistant Manager ensuring consistency which is great as she knows how important the order is to me.

I must say a big thank you to the staff in Sawston for being so helpful at the weekend. Waitrose had made an error with my glass hire i frantically tried to find 100 wine glasses for my party and Budgens came to my rescue. A blessing to have a local store offering such extras!

I was in charge of balloons for my friends Christening and she had decided on helium balloons on the Sunday morning. How fortunate was it to pop down to my local Budgens in Sawston to pay a small amount to fill each balloon. A great service and many thanks to the staff for their assistance.

I live in Sawston but work in London and after calling the store to query the loss of my favourite marmalade 'Tiptree Tawney' i am now able to purchase it again! I had regular telephone calls from a member of staff informing me that on this occasion they would be able to re-stock the item. A great store for the local community, keep up the good work.
